Description
All Northern Alchemy beers are entirely natural products. Unfined (no ‘finings’ made from fish swim bladders and therefore suitable for vegans) & unfiltered. This means all of the flavours deliberately chosen for the beers are exactly what the customer should taste. Most of our beers will have a natural haze to them because we don’t subject our beers to these extra processes, in our opinion it’s how beer should be.

Eebria Tap Room Takeover. Keg. Very hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light with good fine carbonation. Rich orange and orange marmalade and jam. Nice floral streak. The Assam kicks in and provides a nice earthy bitterness. Slighty spicy finish. Joins up well and is quite moorish.

Eebria Tap Room Takeover. Keg. A hazy gold beer with an odd grey tint. Tidy off white head. Light palate, a fine minerally crispness. Decent lime peel into a mellow mango. Back end brings black pepper which is more floral than hot. Light semi dry finish. Limey peppery linger. One of those beers that does exactly what it says on the tin.

Eebria Tap Room Takeover. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, touch of roasty bitterness. Vanilla smooth things out and then marmalade kicks in and morphs in to lemon rind that gets stronger in the aftertaste. Bitter roast and lemon zest aftertaste. Madder than a box of frogs, but somehow it works!

Eebria Tap Room Takeover. Keg. Almost clear paleish gold beer, thin off white head. Palate is light, fairly dry and minerally crisp. Bitterish floralness and a touch of citrus. Underneath is a bitterish green hop, grassy bitterness. Trace of marmalade before a light finish. Bitterish linger. Different!

Eebria Tap Room Takeover. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly minerally crisp. Thin light earthy coffee dominates a very mellow orange. Earthy coffee again in the crisp finish. Slightly odd but interesting.

Bottle from Beer Moth Manchester. It pours hazy bright gold with a tiny, fizzy white head. The is dirty, musty, creamed cheese, funk, cracker, straw and subtle tinned pineapple. The taste is crazy tart upfront, massive mouth - pucker, sour candy, lemon sherbet, passion fruit, tart pineapple, lime juice, some acidity and light lactic vibe with a dry finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Very tart indeed. Aroma is a bit off - putting & the taste is overly tart (something I don’t say often).

Tap. House of Trembling Madness, York. Hazy gold. Bubbly, open, lasting, white head. Nose has orange pith. Some dank, earthy pine. Light herb. Some peachy sweet malts. Taste is initially sweet. Turns earthy, resinous bitter. Plenty of body. Finishes resinous bitter. Decent, but lacking a bit of juiciness for me.
