On tap at Brother’s Beer. Pours gold without much head. Gooseberry, hay, lemon, little acid malt. Starts all tart sauvignon blanc, goes into a fruity malt IPA section and then finishes on sweet white grapes again.

Bottle. Gold with a white head. Hay with lovely orange, grapefruit and mango; just a little pineapple and white pepper lurking behind. There’s a bit of sweetness and body but really nothing from the malt side of things. The fruit is nice and the bitterness is refined and quite reserved. Fine but not one of their more engaging pale ales.

Bottle. Clear copper with a white head. Earthy aroma of marijuana, overripe tropical fruit, chives. Moderately sweet and clean, with the aforementioned floating surprising lightly over the top of firm pale malt hayish breadiness, so it never comes across as sticky or even full bodied. Maybe some red berries. Brief and slightly astringent finish with bitterness that just enough to balance and then be noticeable. Good and very gluggable, but not all that engaging.

Thanks Van, you da man!
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a dark ruddy burnt orange to ruddy brown color with a thin foamy white head that died off fairly quickly. Light speckled run off of lace.
The aroma had a sweet meatiness to it, but not necessarily bacon. Seemed to have a light brown sugary backbone to it. Barbeque sauce, somewhat. Some smoke.
The flavor yields to the sweet meatiness. Sly meaty aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a smooth chewy sort of feel to it. Moderate carbonation. Feels good for the most part.
Overall, decent smoked beer, but definitely different than other smoked beers I had.

On tap @Brasserie 4:20 (Rome). Fusto invecchiato di qualche anno. Nera, densa, quasi impenetrabile, schiuma virtualmente assente. Al naso netta ossidazione, tostato quasi evanescente, oliva, anche una nota vinosa, comunque interessante. In bocca è molto morbida, il tostato quasi non si percepisce più, cioccolato più che caffè, spenta. Corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione soft.

On tap at Vultures Lane. Orange, caramel, pear. Big and fruity, though not with the advertised tropical notes, but there’s really just not much substance to it for me. There’s not much malt character, and there’s not much bitterness despite the advertised "Epic hoppiness". That all said, I finished my pint pretty quickly and I quite enjoyed it.
