Bottle. Pale gold with a white head. Vibrant aroma of tropical and citrus fruit - lime leaf, guava, pineapple, pine - light bread. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. More tropical tasting than the mixture of fruit in the aroma suggested - some mango skin/ hash which suggests simcoe is a significant player here. Clean, just enough light bread to support the fruit flavours. Bitterness is medium high and the finish is brief.

Bottle - Toffee and some leafy hop notes. Clear amber. Nice caramel notes and sweetness with the hops firmly in the background. This is a great, rich and sweet barley wine that is good to drink fresh.

On tap at Brew on Quay. This has the same big juicy hop profile as Thor, with lots of orange, peach and lemon coming through. Perhaps not as thick, and the flavour is a little less nuanced. Still very good though.

On tap at Brew on Quay. Lots of hops. Grapefruit, peach, lemon, toast. It’s good. Obviously it’s good. One of the top widely available IPAs in New Zealand. Lovely.

500ml bottle. Aroma is peach, tangerine, a little herbal character, maybe basil and a little pepperiness. Flavour is big juicy peach and orange, lots of caramel, some bitter pine and more of that slightly spiced herbal stuff in the finish. This is thick and luscious and oh so juicy. Really pretty special.
