50cl bottle pours a hazy, caramel amber with some wispy, white head. Nose is some light smoke, a little cherry wood, some light maple, almost a maple wine aroma, some brown sugar, malt. Flavor is a weird mix of sausage fat and sweet maple, I guess it tastes like breakfast sausage, but not in a great way, honey, malt, brown sugar, some bread, some pitted fruit, a little cherry, date. Full, sweet and smokey finish. A strange combo.

On tap at the house de 1000. I hate smoked beers but the barmaid at the house gave me a sample of this to try for free. I was very suprized at its drinkability for a lager lover. slight metal aroma. some haze in a darker amber brown liquid. yes, maple fer sure. not over the top what so ever. makes me think about bacon but its not in yer face. quite acce[table beer experince.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a smallish off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earthy sugar with a solid hit of smokey phenols and little else. The flavor follows the aroma, sweet sugary malts with plenty of smoked flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick smokey mouthfeel. Nice beer but a bit boring.

Pours a slightly chill hazed reddish brown color with a fluffy beige head that persists forever. Caramel, molasses, dark burnt sugars and dark dried fruits, its a malt heads wet dream. Very light aromas of earthy hop provides almost no balance. The flavor is malty and rich with all of the aforementioned aromas playing a part in the flavor. Heavy molasses with a hint of smoke dominates the flavor while the other tastes add character. Rich sweet and frigging smooth. Medium to thick body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet bubbly syrupy mouthfeel. Great Americanized version of a dopplebock.

Pours and looks just like the other Framinghammer variants. Thanks to my buddy chris for grabbing one for me. Nose is still a hint of coffee, oak and vanilla sweetness. Sweet, tobacco, smoke and leather. Very musty sort of taste and the vanilla doesn’t make it any better. It’s a good baltic porter but the coffee version is the clear winner.

Thank you Chris for grabbing a bottle of each of these for me at the release. You rock man! 2 finger sticky, creamy leathery head. Pours almost black into the glass. Very much a porter appearance. Nose is creamy steamed milk latte with roasted cherries. Mind-blowingly big coffee taste. Like pouring myself an espresso, adding some milk and sugar and chugging. Great roasted notes finish, no burn, very drinkable. Loving the fact it tastes just like drinking a carbonated espresso.
