Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Cheers to Leighton. Hazy amber beer, little bubbly white head. Palate is light and soft and dry. Smooth and light creamy malt. Floral note. Smoke is pretty obvious but never gets acrid. Light dry finish. Pretty tasty and a little different.

Cask at gbbf 2013. Hazed caramel colour halo of light tan head. Aroma is mapel sausage and light smoke. Sweetish. Brown malt flavour some mapel and roast in the finish. OK but a bit weird.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a nice cap of white head. Huge hop assertiveness in nose and flavor! Grassy hops, floral hops, herbal hops with a great balance of malt. I’m not going to be long winded here... Bottom line is this is a great brew.

Straw golden pour, 3 finger creamy off-white head.Nose is reat. Simcoe, chinook and a touch of citra. Healthy balance of sweet malts and earthy / citrus hops. The hop bill is very close to that of Heady Topper. seriously. it tastes like a less malty Heady, perhaps more clean of a finish.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy brown color, white hubby head that produced a good retention. Nose is nice maple syrup, caramel with just a hint of smoke. The lactose sugar gives the maple an extra sweetness that really tones down the smoked malt. The body is medium with the sweetness being a major aspect. Maybe my favorite smoked beer I have sampled to this date.

500 ml bottle. Clear yellow piss color with slow steady carbonation. Nose is pure smoked ham. Yes, the flavor flows the nose campfire, cured meat and burnt ash. If you like the style you really should enjoy this. One and done for this guy.

Golden and hazy. Nose of german malts, really low bitterness. i get some tangerines and biscuit. Taste is pretty bitter, feels like it’s full of adjuncts. A hint of salt and lemon zest.
