2018 Vintage: Deep, pretty muddied and opaque red and muddied hazy brown coloured body with a nice, but relatively fast-dying tan head that starts off at about a single centimetre and doesn't show much on top after a few seconds. Aroma of rich raisins, pitted fruits, figs, earth, nuts and caramelised sugars with a nutty and grainy scent as well, but the pungency from the pitted fruits and caramelised sugars are the strongest here in the nose. Medium-bodied; Very strong sweetness from the pitted fruit and caramelised sugars shows up at first with a big earthiness as well along with a slight bitterness and pungency from the alcohol still at play here. Aftertaste shows the strength of the malts coupled with the rather rich earthy and nutty flavours along with the pitted fruits that leave a lot of the residual sugars here at the finale. Overall, a pretty nice and very rich, much earthier, nuttier and sweeter than I expected, beer throughout that has a enjoyable complexity and a great body here. I sampled this twelve ounce, foil-sealed, bottle purchased from Vintage Sellers in Great Falls, Montana on 18-June-2019 for US$2,34 (on sale), as part of the 2018 Vintage, sampled at my house here on the other side of the country in Washington on 24-July-2022, a bit more than 3 years after purchase.

Pretty lame. Very bland. There is some lemon there and that's about it.

12 oz can purchased at Lukas in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a hazed pink golden with a limited off white head. The aroma is soft vanilla floral, yeast, and berry citrus. The taste is bright tart berry and floral, along with some general citrus notes, and finishes cleanly with more of the acai (presumably) berry. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and the citrus berry finish. Easy drinking.

On tap at Westwood. Hazy orange with bone white foam. Aroma has notes of tangerine, bread, caramel. Taste is mildly bitter and quite sweet with flavors like the aroma. Slightly boozy. I could use more bitterness.

The in-town craft beer store has had a ton of Odell beers lately, this evening it is Drumroll. I lift the top on the 12 oz can and tilt inside of a tulip glass. The appearance is a semi-clear, straw yellow body with a persistent skim of of wholly white, very small bubbles. I smell grass and tropical. A drink now, not bad. Some pine, lightly with pineapple and lemon. Actually there is a decent hops presence and an accompanying bitterness. Better than expected.

My 12 oz can was found at the single cans rack in the nearest big box supermarket. Utilizing my Cowtown snifter this evening, I make the pour. Non-transparent yellow body with a suitable top of solid white foam. The scent is sweet citrus and a bit of hops. And the taste follows the new standard in IPAs with mangoes, grapefruit, dry crackers and still a touch of hops. Some sweetness and slightly bitter. Not bad. Nothing exciting.
