12oz bottle shared by Doug, thanks
Appearance: Clear dark mahogany with a medium sized beige head and good lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts and sweet bourbon
Taste: Toasted malts, bourbon, vanilla and sweet caramel
Very nice, if you like Jack Daniels this beer is for you, not overly boozy but you know it’s there. Well balanced and tasty.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with red highlights, head is beige. Sweet fruit and mixed malts fills the nose. Taste is nice malts, dark fruits, and just enough hops to bring the palate senses full circle.

Pours a dusky orange color with a sticky, 3 - dimensional off-white head. The aroma is lemon rind and pine resin. Then comes the underlying sweet malt. The flavor is bright, full and bitter with big juicy malt support. Very good local IIPA. If I were to change anything, I’d add a touch more body and a little less sweetness.

Bottle at freetail release. Pours a clear brown with a thick tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice roasted malt note with some backing coffee and toast. Flavor is begins full of roasted malts with some backing toast and alcohol comes out in the finish.

Bottle. Pours near black with a slight red hue and the head is dissipating quickly brown head. Aroma has strong notes of chocolate with underlying oats and roasted malts. Flavor builds with a bitter chocolate flavor. The flavor began a bit sweet with more of an oat flavor. Nice and smooth on the tongue.

Aroma is fruity and raisiny, but with hints of acetone. Flavor is strange fruits, with chocolate, not sure that combo is working. More acetone, bananas, pineapple. Mild astringency in he finish, with some coffee as promised in the commercial description. This is not working for me. Brown color, small head. On further reflection, this beer grew on me before I finished the glass. The acetone gave rise to bubblegum, and the dark melts melted into the yeastiness. Still not a great beer but fair enough by the end. Was almost a drainpour that became a beer I was happy to finish.

Not bad. A little caramel candy in the nose and flavor. Medium body, light carbonation. Refreshing and neutral but not at all bland. Not quite as snappy and toffeeish as a marzen though, I wonder how much vienna malt they really use. Feels like a pretty good amber lager though.

12oz bottle pours hazy copper with gold hues and off white head. Is the haziness a sign of huge hop additions, I hope. The aroma offers up wet boozy grapefruit and tangelo wedges along with a sense of sugary malts. The taste is rich with various citrus like hop notes like grapefruit, tangelo and lime running from flavor hop to solid and near resin citrus hop bitterness. This is a thick rich bitter beer and a touch boozy too. Solid IIPA taste here.

Draft served as Red Brick Laughing Skull: Weak cherry nose. Clear amber, medium yellow head. Weak malt flavor, nothing fruity. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Alcohol slightly noticeable, which isn’t surprising since there is little to hide it. Weak.
