Description
Weyerbacher Brewing was founded in 1995 in a livery stable located in downtown Easton, Pennsylvania. Eventually outgrowing that small space, we made the move to the 30,000 square foot facility that we still call home today.
Since the beginning, we have established a reputation for making big, full-flavored, high quality brews. While predominantly known for Belgian-style brews including Merry Monks and QUAD, we have an extensive barrel aging program which produces fan favorites including Insanity and Riserva. In recent years, we’ve dipped our toes into IPAs and other lower ABV styles with great success.
Experimenting with different ingredients and brewing techniques, our brewers continue to stretch their creative minds and develop interesting and mind blowing beers that will satisfy your taste for the extraordinary.

Ok, this is a can and I'm thinking the description says its for the 2017 season, so is this a dated can? There is no date code on it. Quite high hop flavors considering its a 4;5%. Interesting, the label peels right off. And, the label is disrespecting a city; how pissed would I be if it said Pittsburgh sucks? Well, maybe not too pissed. But any way. Yes, for a session IPA this stuff comes across quite friendly, none of that stupid ass veggie feel in this one. I know it says APA but this is more like a session ale, well made with a lot of IPA feel to it. Sometimes I wonder of session IPA and APA are really the same thing. Nose is simple hopped ale.

Amber color with tan head. Slight bourbon aroma. Taste is warming bourbon and alcohol with a burn at the finish. Not overwhelming on the bourbon, good balance for the style.

Taster at the 30A Growler Garage. Pours a clear, dark, ruby color, with a small, fleeting head. The aroma is lemon cream, brown sugar, black tea, and caramel. Sweet and sugary, with a mellow tart flavor. Light body, with a smooth, silky mouthfeel. This is a refreshing and interesting sour.

This beer is a hazy reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of fruit, coffee, malt and spice. Medium to full body with flavors of berry, earthy coffee, chocolate malt and pepper. The finish is fruity and roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.
