Cask, hand-pulled half-pint in Cherry Red, Birmingham on 2nd Dec 2019. Unclear deep reddy brown, beige head. The Rye comes through load and heavy, spiced heavily also. Heavy going.

23/8/2019. Can from Connolly’s Birmingham and shared en-route to Peterborough beer festival. Pours dark gold with a large frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, malt, caramel and flowers. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Nicest of the 3 just tried.

Aroma of malt, caramel, biscuit, dank hops and fruit. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation.

Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Malty finish.

Half-pint on cask at Cherry Reds Cafe-Bar. Misty golden body, filmy layer, dotted spots on the glass. Restrained smell of lemon, mid-dry. Citrus to the taste buds, added by distant moments of yeasty esters towards the ending. A bit diluted on the swallow. Approved. (Birmingham 30.06.2019).

Cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Pours dark gold with a medium head. Aroma is sweet eggy straw. Taste is sweet lemon and grain to start. Wheaty with some candy on the finish.

Cask at Cherry Reds. West mids no.9 Pours gold with white head. Yeasty on a nose. Tastes smooth, low bitterness, yeasty, bread, low on citruses. Ok.

Can from Brendan's Brewtique, Bristol. Dark brown in colour, with reddish undertones and a frothy, beige, head. An easy drinking, rather light-bodied stout, with some prune, chocolate, liquorice and charcoal, before a gentle finish. Fine.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, light to moderate hoppy, mango - apricot, plastic. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, fruity, perfume, plastic, mango - apricot, artificial. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181019]

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, orange, tangerine, light grapefruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, tangerine, orange, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20181017]
