500ml bottle from Bochka in Moscow. Front of label says (in English) Smoked Brown Ale, back says (in Russian) Light unfiltered unpasteurised "Smoked Pale Ale"... eh? Pours cloudy brown with a small yellowy head. Big smoke aroma. Dry taste with smoke, hops and caramel.

Bottle 500 ml. Red brown color. Aroma: smoked bacon, caramel, cheese, fruits. Taste: light fruity, malt, smoked malt and hop bitterness. Not bad.

Black colored, medium to strong tan creamy head, nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, brown sugar and chocolate, some yeast and lots of smoke and burnt aroma. Taste is medium sweet caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, roasted malt and again loads of smoke, burnt notes, dry bitter roasted peated finish and aftertaste, alcohol and warmth. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, thick. Alcohol is not that well hidden and overall it’s very (too much even) aggressive with the burnt and peated flavors which overpower the rest of the beer. Still very good though! (on tap, Craft rePUBlic, Moscow)

Bottle 0,5 l. Amber color with slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: a little fruit and malt, bread. Taste: good, a little fruit, medium malt body, hop bitterness in finish.

Bottle sampled at Borefts ’15. Pours dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, caramel and licorice. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at the 1st Annual Christmas at The Garvie’s tasting. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, dark chocolate. Taste is dry, boozy finish.
