Description
Attic Brew Co. was borne out of years of beer consumption and small scale production. Oli and Sam met at university in Cardiff where their beer obsession began. Sam began brewing in his bedroom of their shared house and continued after graduating, moving back to Birmingham and setting up his home brewery in his attic.

In 2018, after they'd had the ridiculous idea to start a brewery, Oli left his job in London and moved to Birmingham. They took out a loan, rented a run down old industrial unit in Stirchley and bought a small brew kit that was older than they were. Several months of painting, building and, finally, brewing, allowed them to open the taproom doors on the 23rd November 2018.

Attic was greeted with an unbelievable show of support from local drinkers, who bought into their varied beer board and new take on the traditional local (editors note; we continue to be indebted to you all

[33cl can from Beer52.] A gold amber pour with a fast fading white head; grainy aroma; strong grainy taste with some caramel and honey; and a harsh herbal bitterness. Rather poor.

Keg at The Barrel Store, Brum. Hazy-opaque orange. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has delicate sweet fruit with a citrus edge and porridge. Flavourwise it's equally delicate - sweet fruit with an acidic edge... yeah... pineapple and mango. Light-medium bodied. Aoft carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Noice.

Keg at The Barrel Store, Brum. Hazy-opaque orange. Mm thin translucent white head. Aroma has light citrus and vinous notes with wood. Flavourwise it has soft fruit with a vinous and citrus edge. But all low in the mix. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Betrays it's low ABV-ness. Low AbV, low impact.

Keg at the Barrel Store. Hazy pale orange. Thin translucent white head. Aroma has light citrus and syrupy canned fruit with light porridge. Flavourwise it's got citrus and resin for bitterness over a sweet fruity core. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation has a limp prickle to it. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. OK NEIP... somehow lacks presence.
