Lots of tropical quince/pear on the nose, saline, spices, onions, butter.
Rounded apples with a bit of sharps down the middle. Apple spice, pear floral, citrus punch, dry yeast notes.
Thin but murky, mellow abv, constant acidity, low CO2.
Hodgepodge of okay flavors.

500ml brown bottle via Press online. Pint glass back at home, with power, after hurricane Helene. Dusty but clear-ish, pale gold, quick soda sizzle. Citrus-y but otherwise mild, sweet orange-floral nose with a touch of perceived vinegar. Mild lemon & orange honey flavor, mild green tea, light earth. Very slight vinegar sweetness. Mellow carb, slightly yeasty, low abv. Okay-ish, if a little sleepy.

500ml via Press online. Must have forgotten this one for the Shig tasting. Clear solo cup at home, a few weeks post hurricane, still no clean water. Clear, medium pale, still gold pour. Whiskey butter & lightly spiced apple nose. Really robust & upfront sweet whiskey, oaky, maple syrup, cinnamon apple brandy, apple butter. Is this really dry? Hearty, syrupy, incredibly boozy, tough on crime. Way more potent than the 8.5% list, has to be. Mild carb. Slick texture. Completely foggy after half a bottle. Great nightcap, overshadowed as a cider.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Clear gold with minimal white head. Lots of apple skin, feint brown sugars underlay with a feint hint of bourbon, good balance.

500mL bottle, pours a clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of subtle bourbon, vanillin, brown sugars, and some red apples. Flavour has some bourbon and vanilla upfront, followed by red apples, brown sugar, and a touch of cherry. Lots of bourbon, vanillin, and relatively dry red apple skins. Very nice use of the barrels, with a good base. Very good stuff.

Taste is sweetish, whiskey barrel, oaky, appley, caramel, fruity, vanilla, wood, leather, funk, earthy, with some tartness and soft tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying finish. Nicely drinkable.

Taste is sweetish, apple, bourbon, woody, barrel notes, oak & vanilla, funky, citric, with mellowed acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low soft carbonation, dry tart & tannic woody oaky finish. Nicely drinkable.

3/3 of 500ml bottles at Shig's cider gathering. Clear, pale gold, extra frothy pour. Apple syrup, soft funk, vinegar sweet, lime nose. Tart & twangy, mellow-medium oak, slight spice, lime, Play-Doh, hot barrel. The sweet n sour apple with bourbon is a good combo. Good carb but very, very hot. Didn't think this would be good. Liked a lot.

500ml shared with Shiggy. Clear, dark honey, frothy pour. Cooked apple, rice, charry oak nose. Aged smooth but obviously sweet & smokey whiskey. Bitter tart apples, rubber, floral sweet, lots of earthy & veggie apple skin. Maybe a touch too heavy on barrel. Complex & better than expected.
