(500ml Jan 21/B1 bottle from William J Walter, Quebec City) Pours nearly clear bright gold with a decent, stable white head and spotty lace. Aroma is an explosion of moderately tart and lightly sweet Chardonnay notes, lots of paler citrus, some green apple/pear, touches of pit fruit, bold but well-integrated oak, balanced flora giving some lactic acid and a little wine vinegar, touches of funk but not overbearing. Flavour follows the nose, vinous, moderately acidic and lightly sweet, tart pale citrus and apple, subtle nectarine sweetness, soft lactic and a little wine vinegar, cereals in the middle, drying towards the finish with increasing buttery oak, soft funk, nice tart seam of Chardonnay lingering long into the finish. Medium-bodied, oily, fine carbonation. Excellent wild ale bridging slightly towards natural wine, and great dinner beer.

(500ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours lightly hazed gold with a decent and stable white head with spotty lace. Aroma of lacto-soured mixed-grain cereals with an underlying tone of malt sweetness, ample citrusy tones but as much lemon-lime lacto as the orange peel, orange pit fruit juiciness and some berry tones, softly woody, gin aromatics pretty restrained though present. Flavour is smoothly and softly tart, lactic and rounded, sweetish bready cereals at the core, very mellow with orange, lime and berry fruitiness, soft florals and wood, gin vibes towards the finish but of a very bright citrusy gin rather than a heavy juniper/spice one, finish reamins dry and balanced with a soft juniper, dried floral and wood tone. Medium-plus bodied, fine almost creamy carbonation. Enjoyable wild ale, though the gin/adjuncts could have been more prominent for me.

Can: Poured a clear brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry hoppy notes with light caramel malt notes. Taste is also a mix of dry caramel malt notes with some dry hoppy notes and an earthy finish. Body is light with good carbonation. Enjoyable English style pale ale.

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy yellow color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of tropical and citrusy hops notes with some floral undertones. Taste is also dominated by some citrusy and tropical notes with some floral undertones and a dry finish with not much residual sugar. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. Enjoyable but quite dry and Galaxy hops don’t come as juicy as I was expecting.

500ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: murky brown with a beige head. Aroma: sour and a bit sweet, balsamic. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: no way it's a porter, a Flemish Brown.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Medium dark brown with small off-white head. Wild yeast, port, much more Flanders than porter. Okay (for not a porter).
