500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small off-white head. Nose brings out a nice mix of wild yeast and port barrels, with a touch of toasted malt. Flavour is moderately tart, with port barrels and wild yeast upfront, followed by some balsamic, light wood, and tart, acidic cherries. Is this infected? Hard to tell given the style. It's not all that complex or deep. Okay, but pretty haphazard; disappointing for Le Castor.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. The Nelson Sauvin are really prominent on the nose, with a great, crisp white wine tang permeating. Flavour follows accordingly, with lots of white wine tangy hops, light citrus, bright grassiness, and crisp crackery malt. That Nelson is expressed beautifully, and there's still a good crispness to it. Excellent pils.

Aromes de mangue bien prononcés, appuyés de pamplemousse et de solide résine herbeuse de houblons. Liquide doré partiellement voilé. Effervescence marquée, donnant une mousse épaisse et assez crémeuse. Entrée de bouche mettant la mangue en valeur avec un léger pamplemousse et le côté herbeux des houblons. L’amertume est très douce et l’accent est mis sur le fruité. Saveur de mangue intéressante. IPA un peu hors normes mais tout de même délicieuse. O:7.55 V:4.9 G:7.0 C:4.85 G:14.75 T:39.05

On tap at Vices et Versa, pours a cloudy muddled golden orange with a tiny white head. Aroma is full of mixed bugs, tropical fruit — especially passonfruit, and some light oak. Flavour is fruity and buggy, with lots of passionfruit, wild yeast, and citrus. Buggy, complex and fruity in perfect balance. Excellent.
