On tap at Bistro L'Autre Oeil, pours a clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Nose is full of tequila barrels, agave, and a bit of wild yeast. Flavour is complex, with loads of tequila barrel character upfront, followed by agave nectar; and a touch of wild yeast. Really nice tequila barrel character. Excellent.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a medium size head with limited retention or lacing. Aroma of sour notes with some oak and some vinous notes with funky ester. Taste is also a mix of funky ester with some sour notes and vinous notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice mix of grapes and beer with good balance between flavors and not too much acidity.

(500ml bottle from Duchesse d'Aiguillon, Quebec City) Pours lightly hazed intense gold with a thick white head. Notes are dominated by big juicy floral and sweet pears, both in the nose and on the tongue, well-balanced and estery without any plastic quality, quite ample and complex funky flora with wet hay, light earthy barnyard and a little mustiness, solid lactic citrusy core giving an acidic seam for structure, big barrel structure with good oaky tannins and a little vanilla/butter cream like an oaked white, some peppery quality in the nose and on the finish. Long pear, citrus and oak aftertaste. Medium-bodied, smooth filling bottle-conditioned carbonation. I do not know if it's just this vintage, but even young it was very complex and an excellent wild ale that drinks much better than its ratings.

Can: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit and dry hoppy notes with some light juicy tropical notes also noticeable. Taste is a mix of grapefruit notes with dry floral hops undertones with faint residual sugar and a quite dry finish. Body is slightly below average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable IPA but dryer then I was expecting.
