Bottle shared at high Wycombe fancy pants tasting. Many thanks to the team. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of dark tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, meaty roast, peanut. Dark chocolate,. Flavour is composed of medium sweet dark chocolate, peanut, hazelnut, Warming alcohol. Intense. Palate is medium sweet, oily, moderate carbonation. Nice.

ADTWD team tasting in sunny Halzlemere. Near clear deep amber brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light bodied malts, a good unsweet toffee, a little malt cream. Rich savoury bourbon, ripe fruits underneath. Savoury wet wood. A little oak induced vanilla. More spicy rich bourbon on the finish. A big bourbon bomb. And that is a good thing here.

Light bodied malts but very rich, mellow dark chocolate, bitterish dark toffee, a little oak induced vanilla. Big bourbon and whiskey. Rounded but very rich. Rich fruity bourbon. Oak induced vanilla. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness, vanilla and a little toffee. Super smooth fruity bourbon. Smooth finish brings a mild bourbon spice. Very much a barleywine that serves the barrel but, so smooth.
