500ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: some infection, sour, roasted malts, bourbon barrel. Taste: along the same lines, very sour and roasty. Overall: another infected shit from QC :-(

Poured from 500mL bottle. Black with small tan head. Quite infected sour note, hint of chocolate, mild bourbon. Ended up drain pouring it.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is very woody, with intense wood barrels, dark cocoa, and deep roasted malt. Flavour is very woody and quite burnt -- this is very unusual. Very viscous palate, with an almost vinous character to it. Woody, burnt finish, with a very viscous, syrupy palate without the sweetness. This doesn't seem quite right -- infected? Even if not infected, this isn't very good.

Jet black with a decent light brown head. Woody, cedar and boozy barrel notes. On the verge of sour with a cedar note. Dry and woody.

On tap at Brouhaha - Rosemont, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is full of bourbon, leather, subdued dark chocolate, and a touch of peat — yeah, that's nice. Flavour is unfortunately not as nice; there's a strange tartness in here that shouldn't be here. This unfortunate tartness drowns out the bourbon and leather character that should be prominent. This can't be right, can it? Not good.

Opaque with chunks. Dull look to it. Thick head. On the nose, the hops are a bit stale, but still showing a little pineapple, allium. Full body, touch of alcohol in the finish, moderate bitterness, and the same hop character.

Hazy. On the nose, melons and stone fruits in hop format. The body is medium, with a decent pale malt signature. The hops are past their prime, showing hints at former brightness. I'm curious how a beer brewed last December only shows up here in August. That's crazy.

Opaque but dull, and with no head. Very orange nose, and on the palate it's quite bitter, also with lots of orange. Comes across artificial. Because, really, there aren't a lot of orange trees in Montreal. Not for another 20-30 years anyway.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tag 19 02 21, 5 months old
Blond colour, chill haze (mostly clean), medium sized head. Delicate aroma of fruit salad, peach, pineapple, very light vanilla. Lean body, it has just some minimal residual sweetness; the malt profile is without description, there's a sourish malt note out of place; the hopping is mostly about bitterness (it states 100 IBU) than aromatic components, indeed there's just some bitter citrus peel, no juice, no tropical. Maybe it lost quality since it's 5 months old. Ok beer.
