Unlike my previous very still Neuronova, this still has s Bible out two around the edge. Otherwise, full on black. Nose had more stout roast malty and indeed some of the blended in barley wine. Taste starts quite mellow, and has equal parts stout and barley wine. A lot less bourbon than before. Actually kind of a sharp note from black malt and alcohol. No sitting bottom now here, just some very mellow malt matched exactly to a barely wine.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a transient, slight rusty tan head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate and dark toasted malt. Full bodied. Lots of sweet burnt malt and lots of chocolate and bourbon. Notes of dark fruit. Not at all dry. Not enough heat to balance the sugariness. Yet bourbon, chocolate and heat render it quite delicious.

Sampled from the tap at Bottle Theory. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has dank citrus and blood orange with a touch of melon and grain backing. Flavor has dank citrus and some mango with grass and melon underlying.

16 oz can. Thank you Clarkvv on the share. Aroma is old coffee, whole leaf tobacco, prune. Flavor follows with a mild note for booze. No alcohol burn burn. Decent.

Can shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Inky black with light viscosity. Aroma is strong earthy malt with bourbon. Taste is as aroma. Smooth texture, average carbonation, finish as taste. Very nice.

Rich with tobacco and maple. Woody and with just a hint of roast. Slight oxidation. Fair bit of alcohol.
Heavy tobacco and dark chocolate with earth and alcohol. Cherry, vanilla, pepper and barrel. And then kind of a fuck ton of alcohol. Chewy texture, with drying pepper and lead and more alcohol. Too much.

Aromas are a blend of citrus rind, resin, spice, wet grain and a little malt. Flavors are similar to nose. On the sweet side with enough carbonation and bitter to balance. Slightly sweet finish.

Sample at GABF 10/10/2025, thanks to Beer Savant for assistance with note-taking. Clear golden color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of Noble hop, malt and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and bready malt. The finish is clean with a mildly bitter citrus and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at Denver Rare Beer Tasting XVI (Last Call) on 10/09/2025. Brown-black pour with a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lace. Bourbon, vanilla, chocolate and malt in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, vanilla, chocolate malt and marshmallow. The finish is oaky and nutty with a sweet bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.
