22 oz shared by ClarkVV. Side-by-side-by-side with two other variants. Oak, chocolate, and spice. Flavor has a light chocolate/ mild cake base. Not fudgey or overly sweet. Balance is exceptional and I got to say, the booze is really hidden. Awesome.

Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! It's an inky black with nice viscosity. Aroma is nice Elijah Craig, roasted malt, wood. Taste is strong Elijah Craig, sweet/roasted malt, wood. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with silky smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. This is really smooth and Elijah Craig is the perfect complement to stouts.

473ml can. Hazy, orange, golden colour with averge to huge, rapidly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Grassy, fruity, slightly tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, wheaty and oaty malty basis, notes of passion fruit, kiwi fruit, hints of gooseberry, grass, white grapes, resin. Taste is bitter, grassy, resinous and fruity hoppy, oaty and slightly wheaty malty basis with low residual sweetness, notes of kiwi fruit, unripe kiwi fruit, white grapes, gooseberry, some fruit acid; lingering, almost a bit pungent, bitter hoppy finish. Oily-creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. NEIPA with tremendous hop bitterness - superb.

500mL bottle drunk 7/22/23. Clear, purple tinted, dark brown. Tan head instantly to ring. Well that smells like EC, thank God, and it smells miiice. Savory, rich, fudgey, some spice and pepper. Light warming alcohol. Soft malty, excellent barrel character, so much better than the Willett pot still bourbon version. Pepper, spice, savory notes. Assertive but still balanced. It's a lighter bodied stout, though. Which, it's not too syrupy sweet, but conversely, it's kind of light. Still not in love with the base beer but EC 8 is amazing.

22 oz shared by ClarkVV. Side-by-side-by-side with two other variants. Aroma is soft Willet bourbon, roasted grain. Flavor follows with alcohol restrained with only mild warming up the sip. Mild sugar in the heart of the stout. Good.

Bottle drunk 7/22/23. Clear dark mahogany, purple tints. Hint of tan head as bubbles. Spicy, somewhat strong bourbon. Chocolate fudge but not sugary. Rich, savory, but maybe a bit more spice or sumptuous malt would be preferred? Not sharp, though. Well, it's fine, I guess. I am disappointed as it's sweeter than I'd hoped. Kinda popcorny, sugary, not very thick or comforting in texture. Maybe it's the whiskey, though I doubt that. A bit of warming alcohol in the end. Eh, just a strange texture with cotton candy-like sugariness.

Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! It's an inky opaque black with nice viscosity. Aroma is mellow bourbon, earthy roasted malt. Taste is mix of earthy roasted malt and bourbon, oak. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation, mild alcohol warmth, and finish as taste. Overall, not super complex but the bourbon complements the stout vs. overwhelming it. Smooth.
