Description

Black. Aroma has some roasted malts and light raspberry. Flavour is more intense with a sharpness from the raspberry and more dark malts. The fruity raspberry flavour really lingers in the aftertaste.

Bruin bier, beetje troebel. Geur zeer kruidig .

Sampled from draught @ Oirschots Bierfestival 2016. Opaque murky brown color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweet, loads of herbs and spices. Not my thing at all. Bleh.

33cl bottle. Hazy dark ruby pour with a tall tan head and visible carbonation. Smells of caramel, rosemary, figs and raisins. Bitter-sweet, with notes of dried fruit, caramelized brown sugar, Coke and a bit of yeast. It has a ’fresh’ feel about it, probably due to the high carbonation.

Bottle from het Biermoment, batch 11711 BB 30-09-2016, large sample. Hazy copper to dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of slight spicy yeast, raisin, bit roast, butterscotch. Very nice, fit to style. Bit sweet in taste, caramel, raisin, slight alcohol burn. No questionable yeasty byproducts as seen with lots of other Dutch micros lately. Good brew.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment.nl). Pours dark brown with beige brownish head. The head stays for a long time. Aroma is sweet, caramel, candy, malt, some fruits. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, caramel, fruits, some sour notes. Finish is malty with some burnt sugar and alcohol burn. Overall: good enough, but doesn’t really stand out in any way.
