Less of a hit for me. Not much flavour at all here, some slight fruityness and a bit of tartness. Not very clean, nor sour, nor paradisical. Can imagine it's refreshing when in the sun, but even as a first beer on a festival it just fell away. Pity.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of rich soursweet raspberry, chocolate, malt and caramel. Taste has lots of raspberry, bitter fruit core, chocolate, malt, caramel, some licorice and a raspberry forward finish. The fruit flavors come out really well, good stout.

Bottle. Orange hazy pour. Aroma of grapefruit, malt, rye, orange marmelade and iron. Taste has soft rye, grapefruit, bitter orange, boozy orange marmelade, malt, caramel, some yeast and bitter herbal hop. Could be a bit cleaner, but it's a nice hopped-up strong ale-ish.

Hazy pale golden colour, small fizzy white head, mostly diminishing, no lacing. Aroma wheat malt, lemon, white candy sugar, light cabbage, hint of cloves. Flavour light sweet and mild sour, at first bit prickly mouthfeel, lemon and lemon grass, hint of grapefruit. Taste continues in het aftertaste, plus a light bitter touch in the finish. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation (my bottle was a month over the bbd), not really a Berliner Weisse but nevertheless a nice thirstquencher.

Shortlived, fine cream head over finely carbonated dull reddish copper beer. Fruity nose, rather sweetish smelling, hint at overripe fruit, manure, fallen wet leaves, caramel. More tart in the flavour, cranberry is there with a very mild tartness, but as everything very lightly so; hint of exotic fruit. Faint fruity sweetness in the background... overripe, bruised strawberries. Light, quite carbonated, fruitslick and a tad watery. Oh well...

My label calls the beer Luxe Cactus Ale Small, irregular dirty white head over finely carbonated, practically clear foxy-copper beer. Sweetish-fruity nose, as an (artificial) ester for grapearoma, caramel, old hops, oxidated. Fruity, more acidity than the nose would suggest, and clearly oxidation signs. BBd, however, is still 2 months away. Faint hints of citrus (mainly lime). Good carbonation, bit slick, light body. I probably would have liked this quite well, if it weren't for the premature oxidation. As to the prickly pear, well, the fruit doesn't have much flavour in itself, but if I remember what Bitter End brewpub used to do with them...
