Pours with a small thin tan head. Aroma is mainly molasses with some black patent and roasted barley. Taste is similar, but chocolate malt stands out in a weird unpleasant combo. Very slight carbonation which is not to its advantage. Kind of over heavy. Not to easy drinking. Not a fav.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 2016. Clear ish amber lasting beige head. Slightly not quite fresh aroma but the flavour is fresh fruit. Like peach and apricot on speed. Very hoppy. Settles down into a massively fruity ipa. Aroma still isn’t great but the rest is banging. Wow. Has hop leaves in. Wow. Picking hop flowers out of your mouth was entertaining.

12oz bottle. Going in I fully expected a DME boosted dextrose kind of beer...you know, sugary, oddly thin for the style...hmmm...like Central Waters..."malt beverages". Captures basic nuances ie specialty malt, isn’t infected or off but just doesn’t have the body or depth of a good beer. Sub par product. I’m not sure why people respect these sugar bombs from central WI.

Tap at Alchemy. Opaque black body. Thing beige head. Specialty malt forward. Caramel, sweet and sugary. Simplistic suspect DME malt base. Good sugar beverage. One dimensional coffee sugar.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, from Alko, 20160212) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had burnt malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweetness, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A nicely done solid porter.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a hazy orange with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong funk, rubber, oak, lemon. Thin mouth, funky, oak, apple skin, light tartness, lingering dryness, very nice.
