Thatchers cider has been made on Myrtle Farm since 1904.
Four generations dedicated to our craft. With a fifth generation waiting in the wings. There’s been a lot of change over the years. But one thing remains constant: cider making is our pride and joy.

Bottle. Pale cider with a weak apple aroma and a weak fruity apple flavour, juicey and tart. Overall a nice cider.

Bottle. Very thin and pale looking cider with a fairly musty apple aroma. The flavour is very tart apple. Overall an average cider.

Bottle. Pale golden beer with a watery dry aroma and a sweet apple but predominently dry flavour. Overall a nice dry cider.

Bottle, pale yellow in colour, some apple notes. I rather like this cider as I find it quite refreshing and much better than some of the other more commercial ones you can pick up, I suppose it’s a little on the strong side to be drinking a few of but it’s a fine enough cider in my opinion.

Bottle. Very pale cider with a fairly acidic nose and a quite weak apple flavour. Overall a very gentle and slightly poor cider.

Polypin at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Cloudy orange/gold colour. This is better than the draught I had the same day. Apple/tangerine aromas and flavour. Off dry, sweetish fruit, in the mouth, bit of dryness on end. Curiously drinkable. It’s how I remember Thatcher’s being. Orangeade with apple juice.

From polypin at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Hazy gold colour. Quite a rubbery dry cider. Rubber and nuts. Brazil I think. Oh and some apple. Very dry finish. Not sour, just extremely parching. Quite pleasant, but nothing astonishing

A hazy light yellow cider with no head. The aroma is sweet and very apply - the flavor is also very apply and quite dry.

An orange cider with no head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet apply. A quite ordinary cider.

A light yellow cider with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet and quity apply, while the flavor is sweet and only with light apply notes.
