Steeped in the unique culture and history of Tampa, Florida, Cigar City Brewing began handcrafting award-winning beer in 2009. Can from lowcostbeer, consumed 2 weeks past BBE. Hazy orange-gold with small white head. Aroma has decent tropical and stone fruits with some floral elements. Taste has a touch of caramel to bready malt, some sharp orange and tropical zesty notes, mango, skunk, peppery and pine bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Very good DIPA, quite a bit going on.

Bottle shared at the CBJ tasting, thanks to Marcin, 12/06/24. Black topped with a tan head that thins to the edge and a swirl. Nose is chocolate, roast malts, dried fruit rinds, pinch of spice. Taste comprises dark malts, apple brandy schmack, molasses, toffee, chocolate pot. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid sipper with a good barrel edge to it.

355ml can from somewhere or other, my first Florida beer. Pours dark slight cloudy gold, small white head, lovely retention. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, pine, very nice if a little standard. Taste is a lovely array of different flavour notes however. It starts with fruits of grapefruit, citrus peel, orange juice, then pine and resin come in with a caramel malt background, finish is a mix of the above, quite tangy and bitter, mild spice, with a slight alcohol nudge on the way down. This may be old skool now but most IPAs don't have this level of complexity in truth. Its a very good beer.
