Hazy dark brown with a small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of beef stock, figs & raisin, roasted malt, stew, dark chocolate, caramel, spices, cinnamon. It tastes light malty sweet and medium umami (notes of beef & mushrooms), developing a light roasted & spicy bitterness. Toasty finish, bit (peppery) hoppy, with warming whisky alcohol. Medium body, thin creamy texture, lively carbonation - too much. Really not bad, but not quite there when it comes to an Imperial Stout - some doubts about that palate too.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Hopschepper ].Clear medium orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, hay, moderate hoppy, grass, dusty hops - grass, light to moderate yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity hops, frutiy yeast, fruity malt, pale malt, dusty, grass, yeast, hay, light woody hops. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20180424] 7-3-7-3-15

Sampled @ Zythos Bier Festival 2018. A clear golden beer. Aroma of belgian yeast, soft orange fruits, herbs. Taste of herbal spices, wheat, mild orange fruits.

F: big, tanned, average retention. C: dark, opaque. A: dark malts, cocoa, chocolate, bit coffee, dried dark fruits. T: dark malts, cocoa, bit herbal, bit coffee, chocolate, bit vinous, quite nice IS not the best but good balanced with bit higher little disturbing carbonation yet enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Prik & Tik ABC Drinks Leuven.

Bottle @ home. A bit unclear yellow golden color, full sized quite thick white head that lasts for quite a while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, wheat, a bit yeasty banana-ish. Taste malts, wheat, orangepeel, fruitpeel tart-bitter, bitter. Decent body, medium to firm carbonation. Ok.

Another of the countless commissioned Graal beers, shared by tderoeck. Loose, off-white head with quickly opening middle, pure ’old gold’ colour with a ’dust’ of yeast dots suspended in it. Aroma of sour apples (acetaldehyde), Gummi bears, banana, dry breakfast cereals, soap, camomile, wodka. Banana, pear and pineapple in the onset, sourish apple touch, fizzy carbo, full and smooth mouthfeel, made smoother by the oats. Bready malt sweetish body with lingering honeyish and bubblegummy sweetness on top, something earthy towards the finish (yeast, no doubt, with a turnip-like effect), mild spicy hop bitter accent, warming ’jenever’-ish alcohol. Stereotypical sweet tripel and not the best one in this segment, but technically correct.

21/VII/17 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ Belgian Ticks Tasting (home) - BB: IV/2019 (2017-1079)

Clear orange beer, big aery irregular off-white head, dissipates immediately. Aroma: lots of peach candy, sweet, fruity, candy smell. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very sweet and sugary, peach flavoured candy, slightly bitter. Aftertaste: mainly sugary sweetness, hint of bitterness. Nope. Too sweet for me.

Thank you tderoeck! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Belgian Ticks Tasting Ghent”. Golden, solid white head. Nose is sweet soap, sugar, washing products, esters, overly sweet,… Taste is sweet chemical, spices, gelatine pineapple sweet candy, sugar, soap,… Body is soap, chemical,…. Sweet gelatine candy keeps it from getting too bad but yeah sign another poor tripel phfffff….
