Description

(bottle) Pale orange colour with firm rocky head with nice lace. Fruity aroma with orange peels and yeast. Flavour is initially sweet and becomes a bit alcoholic at the end. Sweet malty taste with a rather dry finish. This Belgian Ale is ok, but could be better balanced.

Bottle. Fruity aroma, apples? Golden colour. Big stable creamy head. Flavour has a hint of caramellised sugar. Peppery, warming finish. A little astringent.

Bottle. (Label says Cabbac Speciale Amber). Sourish, bitter hop aroma. Dark amber colour. Caramel, spice hints. Quite boring, though. Aftertaste is yeasty and a bit like cheap lager.

A red-brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of straw. The flavor is very sweet and malty and straw - it is like it has been artificial added sugar. The body is thin.

Test vom 16.3.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,10,12,6,10 - 9,60

Bottled. Clear pale ameber, small head. Sugar aroma. Burning saccharine sweetness hardly leaves any room for the underlying fruits and raisin. The mouthfeel is clean and hard, and there’s candi sugar in the finish. My senses are overloaded with all that saccharine...

Orangey brown ale with a thick bubbly caramel white head. Malty and fruity aroma with some yeast. Sweet rich malt with notes of coriander and licorice, dryish finish, but overall very pleasant dubbel with a medium body. Metallic hops drop quickly but is retained for some time in finish.
