0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before May 2020. A little hazy, amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently vinous-fruity, moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of white wine, gooseberry, clove and peach. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a little sourish, gently vinous-fruity, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of white wine, clove, gooseberry, oak and some leather, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, a little tart, gently vinous, moderately woody-dry finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Really nice stuff with quite heavy barrel influence.
