Version 2024 Houblons feuillus, floraux et herbacés composent un olfactif où les malts sont peu présents. Une mousse généreuse se dépose sur le liquide ambré cuivré presque limpide. L’entrée de bouche se veut bien houblonnée avec les notes de crabe qui arrivent en rétro olfaction. Les houblons dominent la bouche avec des notes feuillues bien que le malt soit également présent mais en moindre proportion. Les notes de crabe sont bien en sourdine et c’est très bien ainsi, car je ne vois pas très bien la pertinence d’ajouter du crabe à une bitter. L’amertume est douce et subtilement herbacée. On déplore un équilibre axé sur des houblons unidimensionnels avec des malts très peu travaillés. L’adjonction de crabe n’ajoute pas grand-chose. Bof! O:5.78 V:4.3 G:5.59 C:3.64 G:10.75 T:30.06

Clean, darker amber, almost copper colour with a big, frothy light-beige head, turning creamy, long lasting and leaving creamy, thick lacing. Caramel malt nose and apples at first, and then comes the smokiness. The smoked malt is also well-blended with the rest of the malt, some giving cereal notes. A tad sweetness (as a Scotch ale should have), but all nicely cut short by the hoppy, drying finish. Getting a little hazed as it pours. Bread and sugars in the nose come out, butterscotch in the mouth. A very easy-drinking Scotch Ale with a touch of smokiness.

Dark amber color and a nice white head. Interesting nose of triple-like sweetness of caramel and toffee, spicy. Taste is less sweet and boozy as expected. Eastern shadbush, bitter spices over faint sweet caramel. Nice.

Clear golden color and a white head. Sour, citric-fruity. Decent sour and wheathy flavors. Sea Buckthorn, salty, spicy. Nice.

A light pinkish ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light acidic notes, Epsom salts, light berries, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light cranberries, light acidity, Epsom salts, OK. On tap at Harricana.

Agrumes sous forme de pamplemousse constituent l’élément principal d’un olfactif unidimensionnel. Subtilement voilé et doré le liquide se couvre d’une mousse moyennement petite et effervescente qui descend assez rapidement. En bouche, c’est très agrume avec de légères notes de poivre et une amertume doucement résineuse en guise de finale. Dans la moyenne des Nanos. O:6.15 V:4.0 G:6.4 C:3.75 G:13.35 T:33.65

(473ml can from an IGA in Baie-Comeau) Never saw it because it was consumed from the can by a little firelight. Notes of tart yellow berries on acidified wheat malt, moderately lactic, bit of citrus peel, sea buckthorn is present with its unique slightly savoury herbal accents, bit of lingon but it's not really a very dominant flavour, short refreshing finish. Light bodied, average carbonation. Not bad at all for a simple fruited kettle sour.

(On tap @ the brewery, Baie-Comeau, Sep 14/21) Pours fairly deep purple-red with a loose pink cap and lace. Notes of haskap and blueberry with a little red berry edge, very soft lactic-like acidity, light cereals, soft tannic grip towards the finish. Light to moderate body with soft carbonation. Solid fruited sour with decent haskap presence, nothing earth-shattering but good with a pizza.
