Pours a real dark brown colour with light hazed ruby highlights. Nice creamy mocha-coloured head, long lasting with some thick creamy lacing. Plum aromas over the roasted malts, with hints of cocoa and licorice. Smooth silky mouthfeel with a slight dryness in the finish. Flavours of roasted, chocolate malts and light dark fruits (raisins, plums). Decent hops lingers. Nothing to complex, but a nice smooth dry stout.

Bottled. Dark brown, mid sized head. Caramelly licorice aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, coffee and licorice. Brown sugar and bread. Fairly low bitterness.

Bottle: Poured a clean yellow color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal and light grainy notes is OK. Taste is a mix of cereal and some unrefined grainy notes with some light residual sugar notes. Body si about average with good carbonation. Not sure what is supposed to be experimental about this one but it did lack some balance and some flavours were slightly off.
