Bouteille 341ml. Couleur cuivrée voilée, mousse beige pâle fugace. Arôme de malt légèrement grillé, alcool, Nelson Sauvin, un peu poussiéreux, un peu fruité. Goût de malt, houblon fruité, amertume moyenne-faible, levure. Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.

341ml bottle (thx, Jonathan G.!). Pours an almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is some berries, roasted malt, some woody, coffee and cherry notes. Pleasant, but non-intense. Taste is the same. Body is quite thin for 10.5% ABV. It is a good beer, but slightly weak for an Imperial Stout with such high ABV. Also, it should be consumed just slightly chilly, since when it is cold lots of aroma and taste notes are hidden.

Goût fruité qui devient un peu dérangeant au fil de la dégustation, malt torréfié, cognac, café, boisé en fin de bouche, belle amertume. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.

Arômes de caramel mixés à des odeurs terreuses. Évidence de noisettes légèrement rancies et d’écorce de grain discret. Les arômes s’estompent rapidement. Mousse beige onctueuse. Liquide brun limpide aux reflets rougeâtres. Bonne tenue de mousse. Effervescence et grain en entrée de bouche. Les notes sont: écorce de grain, noix de Grenoble, cassonade, terre humide. L’amertume est plutôt tirée du grain. L’effervescence vive en fait une bière plutôt désaltérante mais avec un fort arrière goût d’amertume de grain. Correcte, sans plus.

Hazy light amber coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall tan head that fades relatively fast. Aroma of grass, big yeast, coriander seed and a bit of citrus as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and yeastie flavour up front with a large bitterness of earth, yeast and a touch of earthy and perfumey hops. Aftertaste shows some bitterness with a slight hoppy note, some light sweetness, but a big herbal and grassy kick of grain. Overall, a decent beer, if that - the wheat and yeast just show way too strong and overpowering, that was decent to try, but doesn’t need to be sampled by everyone, for sure. I sampled this 341 mL bottle purchased from Marche Des Saveurs du Quebec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 14-February-2016 for CA$2,59 sampled at home in Washington on 16-May-2016.

Bottle: Poured an amber/copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry bitter English hops with dry caramel malt notes. Taste is a solid mix of dry bitter English hops with light floral notes with some dry caramel malt notes with hints of residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I am usually not a big fan of English style IPA but I thought this was a pretty good take on the style.
