Bottle: Poured a hazy dirty beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of huge dry hoppy notes with some light grassy notes. Taste is also dominated by loads of dry hoppy notes with some light grassy notes. Light funky notes are also noticeable with some solid wheat malt. Body is full with excellent carbonation. Good but the hops are just too dominating which leaves very little drinkability.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and some foamy lacing. The nose is pretty hoppy with some mild Belgian yeast. Peachy notes appear with time and this is felt in the taste. Nicely balanced between the weisse with the banana notes from the wheat and IPA with the grass form the hops. Still, something feels off in the aftertaste. Interesting, but like my weisse not too hoppy.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, loads of alcohol, solvent notes, fusel alcohol, light solvent and vanilla, strange. In mouth, a sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of alcohol, coffee, strange solvent notes, fusel alcohol, licorice, unbalanced and cloying. On tap at Gainsbourg.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of smooth roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes also easily recognisable. Taste is dominated by some roasted oats notes with some black chocolate and light bitter finish. Body is somewhat light for style with good carbonation with light warming alcohol. Well brewed but body is a bit thin for style.

Vanille et fruits sauvages composent son olfactif. On y retrouve également des notes sucrées de jujube et de bonbon aux fruits. Un peu de chocolat mais pas de café. Olfactif puissant. Visuel: Noir, opaque, petite mousse, mince filet qui ne dure pas longtemps. Le gustatif présente des fruits, de la vanille et du chocolat, accompagné d’une chaleur soutenue et d’une légère amertume de torréfaction. Onctueuse, ronde en bouche, elle présente un bel équilibre sucre et amertume. Le gustatif présente une prédominance de fruits au détriment du chocolat et du café. C’est un peu surprenant mais pas désagréable.

Ça sent très sucré et au goût, le malt est très présent. L’alcool se fait discret mais on cherche le côté impérial du produit...

On tap at Bier Markt Montreal. A dark cola brown with a tan head. It smells of chocolate syrup & nuts with fudge overtones. Med-full bodied with a smooth start, syrupy mouthfeel and sharp finish - interesting. The taste is tangy caramel, chocolate syrup, chewy bready dark malts. The best of the bunch.

Bouteille 341ml. Couleur orange brûlé voilé, mousse beige fuyante. Arôme de pamplemousse, houblon résineux, malt légèrement grillé, côté floral, herbes fraîchement coupées, pointe d’alcool. Goût de pamplemousse, houblon résineux, sucré léger, zeste de pamplemousse, amertume moyenne-élevée plutôt longue. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen-dense.
