330ml bottle @ Quarry tasting, July 22. Thanks Jeremy for bringing this back from your travels. Misty amber appearance, off white head. Sweet caramel is quite prominent, not really picking up any seaweed but it's has quite a nice tripelly yeasty character. I think we all agreed it came across more like a Belgian tripel than a French ambree.

33cl bottle: BB December 2023. Quarry Tasting on 17th July 2022. Brought by me and split four ways. Deep amber body, slight haze; beige topping. Sweet and malty, no 'seaweed'. At a blind tasting I would have said it was a sweet Belgian Tripel.

Bottled 330ml. -from Le Bio d’Adam et Eve, Paris. Dark golden/amber coloured, big off-white head, quite sugary nose. Sweet malty, yeasty and sugary with notes of vegetables (seaweed?) and mild spices. Heavy sticky sweetness in the finish. One-dimensional and a way too expensive (5.50€). 6.5%ABV

Pours with huge head, medium amber colour and plenty of carbonation. Aroma is malts and alcohol. Taste is an awkward mix of malt and what must be the seaweed portion of this brew. Not balanced - drinkable but gimmicky and not very tasty.

750 ml bottle, corked "champagne" style. A beer brewed with algae, what’s next? This one pours deep amber / orange with a large pale orange head. Pleasant fruity aroma (oranges, apples), also notes of honey, flowers and hay. Flavour is also fruity / slightly acidic with some strange notes I can’t identify, probably the algae. Acidic and salty finish / aftertaste. Not the best beer I’ve had, but interesting. At least it’s something out of the ordinary ...

A hazy brown beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood and caramel, while the flavor is sweet and again with notes of caramel, but this time combined with notes of vitaminpills - maybe it is the spice combination, that gives me this association - but it is not really my thing.
