Bottled. Copper-colored, clear and sparkling beer with a diminishing off-white head. Weak aroma, just some caramel and grain. A hint of lightly roasted malt as well. Caramel, grains, some malty sweetness and a little bit of hops in the flavor. Sweetish, and lightly hoppy finish. Medium body. Decent, especially for a discount beer, but that’s it. (060702)

Bottle, 2004 vintage. A clear, dark brown beer with a small, tan head. Some oxidation, roasted and slightly burnt malts, a hint of licorice and dried fruits on the nose. The flavor also has a little oxidation, along with roasted malts and coffee. Some chocolate too. Full-bodied. A bit short on the finish. It’s a quite nice beer, but 5 years in the cellar is certainly more than it can take. Rating: 6-4-6-4-13-3.3. (090327)

The flavor is quite roasted and sweet, with some alcohol. Creamy, full body, and a finish with chocolate, coffee and some drying bitterness. I remember I thought this was one of the most exciting Danish beers. (060520)

Medium white head over yellow body. Buttery aroma with some grassy hops. Strong buttery flavour with some cardboard. Lingering cardboard taste. (0.33l bottle.)

Can, alc. 4.6%. [BB 07/2007] Pale golden color, decent creamy white head, lots of big CO2 bubbles. Looks like apple cider. Dry cardboard malty aroma, not good but not offensive either. Watery, a bit sweet malty, standard lager. Some harsh bitterness in the aftertaste as well as some malty flavors. I am able to finish a can, but no need to drink another one.

Bottle. No head. Amber colour!!!!!!!!. No aroma but not bad. No taste, short finish. Whats left? Oh yes actually not that watery palate. This is not ugly its just not there at all.

Bottled. Deep brown, almost black, with a small, tan head. It has a sweet, caramel-like nose with cold coffee and some dried fruits. The flavor is too sugar-like and caramelized, with some prunes and raisins, leaving a sweet finish. Thin and sticky body. (060513)

A pleasant surprise. I had the opportunity to get drunk with these last weekend, and they were drinkable even after 4 or 5 of them. This one is a bit peculiar due to the fruity (or rather berry) tones, but it is great. I was one of those who loved cherry coke, it’s sort of the same thing. A refreshing twist of a known taste. I would expect gourmet beers of the same kind to be much better, but this one is great for the price as i see it.
