(Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden, almost amber coloured with a tiny head. Weak aroma of malt and alcohol. Very crude, pricking alcohol and an unpleasant sharp bitterness. Lots of corn and brewing syrup making this quite acidic. May the Lord free us from this kinda crap. 030705

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark brown with a distinct reddish hue and a small off-white head. Malty, roasted aromas. Weird taste of cardboard and an underlying sticky, artificial sweetness with notes of malt. Comes with corn, sugar and colourants added. 280605

(Can 33 cl) Fully golden with a rather nice if collapsing head. Decently malty, both sweetness and acid from the added corn, but never unpleasant. Weak, bitter finish. If it has to be a discount lager, then Maribo is not your worst choice. 180605

(Bottle 33 cl) This used to be a premium pilsener from the Odin Brewery in Viborg, close to home. That’s closed long ago, and now Odin is just a pathetic discount brand. Sometimes the world isn’t fair.
Pale golden, almost no head. Slightly sour aroma, slightly sour taste that probably derives from the added starch and corn. Weak hint of hops in the finish. How low can you go? 130605

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale amber colour with a bubbly head, that vanishes in no time. Incredibly carbonated. Contains both corn, starch syrup and coulourants - all in an attempt to hide the complete absence of decent ingredients. And all in vain. Slightly sweetish with the typical notes of chicken fodder and a small, short bitterness. This is a pathetic brew and aspires to be one of the world’s poorest lagers. Utter shite (sorry Lorenzo). 060605

Bottle. Aroma is a little acidic, reminding me of white wine. Clear red colour, hint of brown. The head is pink/white and unstable. Quite peppery flavour, a little sweet. Aftertaste not very pleasant, strangely bitter.

(Bottle 33 cl) Very pretty reddish brown colour, clear and filtered with a handsome and creamy head. Light malt sweetness and only a light bitterness. Looks better than it tastes though. 030305

(Bottle 33 cl) Pilsener golden with a decent head. Fine balance between the malty sweetness and the bittering hops - pehaps with emphasis on the latter. An OK pilsener. 210205

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Dark ruby with creamy off-white head. Aroma is dominated by artifical lemon - like in some lemon beers like Two Dogs. Medium-bodied. Syrupy, sweet, mixed with lemon acid to make this unbalanced. I don’t think that rum is added here.
