I feel better already. Apparently very popular in the Caribbean. The beer, not me.

Can from Home Bargains, Blackburn, as Faxe Export Royal. Golden with a small head. Extremely bland lager, given this is export the brewery must keep its good stuff for its domestic customers! Mildly sweet.

Bottle picked up from Netto Valby - pours black with a beige head. Dark sweet roasted malty with notes of caramel, toffee, touch of cocoa, body is kind of light for the style, touch of dried fruit, sweet finish. Pretty basic supermarket fayre.

Fluffy white head left a froth on slowly carbonating pale golden body. Sweet, malt & stone fruit aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with sharp back. Sweet, malt, biscuit & fruit juice tastes. It's cold, wet & inoffensive.

Can from Home Bargains, Blackburn. Thought I'd slow sip this through Christmas Eve as my only tipple of the day, but its strength was not as dominant as expected, although there's still plenty of alcohol in its taste and its effects begin pretty quickly. It's not overly flavoursome but there's a low bubble-gum sweetness and lager quality to its taste. It has a mildly sweet aroma too. Clear golden with a head.
