Description
For Teo Musso, beer is passion, an intense love for taste and certainly a form of expression. Through his recipes, he has communicated special moments in his life, sides of his being and his constant search for the perfect sensory balance.
In 1986 Le Baladin pub opens in Piozzo (Cuneo). Ten years after Le Baladin becomes a brewpub where beer is produced and directly sold. Blonde and Ambrée (both in filtered and non filtered versions) are the first draught beers produced by Baladin.

Small white head quickly disappears. Muddy opaque pinkish brown body. Acidic sharpish cherry and metal aroma with milky toffee notes. Acidic milky wooden vaguely cherryish yeast taste. Dry yeasty cherry aftertaste. Not very nice. (0.75l bottle at Knut Albert’s.)

Thin offwhite head quickly disappears. Amber body. Fruity caramelly aroma with mild sweetish notes. Dense licorice and cocos taste with herbal caramelly notes. No real aftertaste. Nice! One of the best Italian micros so far. (0.3l draft at Isola della Birra.)

Medium beige lasting head. Hazy amber body with carbonation. Acidic mild wooden malty aroma with cheesy notes. Dry sweetish spicy peppery fruity taste with malty resiny notes. Acidic and lightly soapy. Dry soft metallic spicy fruity aftertaste. Nice, but not too exciting. (0.75l bottle at Isola della Birra.)

Medium offwhite head. Hazy orange body with suspended yeast particles and carbonation. Sweet firm malty vaguely smoky fruity aroma. Dry smoky fruity malty soapy taste with herbal notes. Vaguely acidic. Malty wooden aftertaste. Not bad, but not great, either. (0.75l bottle at Isola della Birra.)

Thin grayish white head doesn’t last. Orangey hazy body. Strange perfumy fruity herbal aroma of licorice and cough syrup. Dry licorce taste with herbal and fruity notes, again kind of like cough syrup. Dry mealy herbal aftertaste. Strange, but not bad. (0.75l bottle at Isola della Birra, Milan.)

Thin coarse white head quickly disappears. Hazy pale yellow body. Light mealy sweetish fruity aroma. Dry-sweetish mealy fruity taste with light malty notes, a bit watery. No aftertaste. Not much taste at all. Boring. (0.75l bottle at Isola della Birra, Milan.)

Huge, but fast disappearing just off-white head. Cloudy orange-green beer; Faint coriander, clover, and fresh Belgian white bread. Very spicy, herbal, but with orange/citrus hints for a slight acidity. Soft mineral spring water quality, light on body and alcohol. Good! Despite the characteristics it’s rather a witbier to me. Thankfully very refreshing, easy-drinking if not really great.

Yellowish head, medium, over pale-amber beer. Alcohol, fusels, old brandy, and cheesy hops (with the accent on hops, not cheese). Bit of syrup (maple?). Toasted alcoholic grain cookies (indeed perfect for drinking with cheese). Alcohol push in terribly, fusels à gogo. Rich liqueur. Fiery alcoholic MF, warming. A very impressive brew. Had I to rate it for cheese-side drink, it would probably head for 5/5.
