Bottle; nose of berries, caramel, with some chocolate and woodiness; lightly hazed brown with a small tan head; flavor of spicy, chocolate -covered, toffee boysenberries in a medium body with a slightly tart finish. Kind of underrated!

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber colour with a white head. Sweet malty spicy aroma with some hints of oranges. Sweet malty fruity flavor with some spicy hints. Dry malty warming finish with some hints of oranges.

Small yellow head over dark brown beer with red highlights. Nose with wood, liquorice, and more outspoken toffee aroma. Sweet taste, with liquorice flavours and easy malts, a bit winey. Burning MF, but well-bodied. Misses totally hops, for more equilibrium and balance. The cacao simply doesn’t do it. Rare beer, thanks Lorenzo!

Pours bright gold into a tulip. Head quickly subsides. Sour aspirin aromas. Dry and medium bodied with a lasting sour lemon and ginger finish. Similar in flavor to Fantome Printemps.

2004 Vintage Near as no head; dark red chestnut beer. Very stimulating, nosevein-dilatating portwine or other fortified wine aroma, with exotic woods as sandelwood & cedar, chocolate, alcohol, fusels and fuselesters. Vinous, especially as exceptional vintage port. Very sweet, vinous, Marssala, and definitely again mild chocolate notes. Faraway hints of oranges, preserved in brandy, sucaded fruit, slowly oxydized and (if that were possible) esterised malts, with exotic spices seasoned. Viscous to syrupy, explosion of body & flavours at each sip, indestructible. It might miss just a tad of balance, defending itself from the ethanol onslaught, but it is a wonderful beer anyhow, something to be savoured slowly after dinner. Hazy orange beer with small, disparate head. Alcohol in the nose, with higher alcohols, orangepeel, citrus, citric (lactid?) acid. Definitely wheat and/or other cereal, refrained citrus flavour. Medium bodied, some malt filling. Well balanced beer, with nice fruity esters.

Hazy blond color, no head but persistent perlage. Gentle aroma of yellow apples and hazelnuts. Quite good apple juice flavor, with a few residual sugars and light acidity. Refreshing and pleasant.

Pours bright amber into a trappist glass. Off-white mixed head quickly subsides with slight lacing. Sour cherry and brett aromas. Smooth with sticky sour pit fruits and anise. Lasting dry spiked fruit finish.

Bottle. Dark ruby mahogony beer with a nice tan head. Yeasty, lemony aroma. Tart lemony (though tartness doesn’t last), spicy flavor with some underlying caramel. Medium bodied. Lemony finish that fades to herbal tones with some honey. Easy to drink. Smooth mouthfeel. Hides alcohol well. It’s different and I can see people either not liking it, or digging it.

Huge, just off-white head, slightly irregular; fully hazy yellow beer with orange shine. Spicey farmyard odours, doubtless including coriander, but also more fragile perfumes. Citrussy, exotic fruit, yeast esters. Overly spiced-perfumed taste, sweet-sour, quite citrussy; yeast-laden, bit of human sweat, bananaester, proteins. Medium bodied, but the acid, and the very high carbonation make it appear way more light. Too perfumed for my taste. Perfumed saison - for the merry boys on the fields?
