Several bottles and pints while in Barcelona. Sort of like the Moritz Yuengling. That’s not a compliment. Pours a clear amber with some fading head. Nose has corn, honey, some yeasty dough. Flavor has lots of sweetness, root veg but also stevia, some dried grasses, hints of fruit. Watery finish.

Small bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry grainy, cereal, hay, sour grass, popcorn, weeds. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish, paper, sour grass, wet hay, cereal, caramel, wet grain. Little bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Meh!!

@Spanje, @Consum, blikje, 33cl, Moritz 1856, geel blikje, Barcelona 5.4% helder geel/gouden met volle witte kraag. aroma komt zoet, granig, mout en mais binnen. smaken zijn metalige graansmaken, net of zit het halve blikje in ’t glas, verder iets van mais zepigheid en licht romig. al met al valt dit in de categorie ’crap’ bier en krij piene hasses van dit spul.

Bottle 330 ml at Polaroid Bar, Barcelona. Golden colored with small white head. Malty and grainy. Actually it is a bit better than most industrial lagers.

Couple 12oz pours at various tapas bars in Barcelona. Pours a light gold with some thin, white head. Nose is standard, some malt, some metal, a little white bread. Flavor is a bit better with some grassy notes, white bread, metal. Watery finish.

Can. Pale golden, clear body, with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of grains, must, sweet malts. Tastes of grains, grass, honey, sweet apple, herbs. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes light bitter and more sweet, with grains and must. Typical flat pale lager, but I had worse. At least without flaws and with a quite OK balance between grainy and sweet, musty notes.
