Since 1926, brewing has no longer been a matter of chance at Bénifontaine, but rather is an art which has been passed down from generation to generation. Thoroughness, patience, authenticity: these have been the key words for Castelain bières de garde and seasonal beers since the creation of the brewery.

Pleasantly suprised about this beer, coming from this brewery, tasteful pale, high fermentation, solid bitterness, a bit resinous, 11.08.17, purchased at one Franprix, Paris, drinking it at Prélaz.

On tap at Lovster Lille. Unclear golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, candy fruity nose. Candy, fruity, light ripe tropical fruits and touch of caramel with rather sweet finish. Not fresh.

75cl swing-top bottle from ID Stock. Pours gold with a fine mist, large frothy white head that grows over the glass after pouring. Quite sweet, doughy, spicy.. bit too sweet and lacks a pleasant yeasty side but generally sippable.
