Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white bubbly head . Sweet nalty aroma with hayish hints. Sweet caramellish malty flavour with dry hoppy finish. A bit too sweet in my opinion.

Je nachdem, in welchem Gebinde sich dieses Bier befindet, wird es in verschiedenen Ländern gebraut, Carlsberg Polska, Carlsberg Hungary und Calrsberg Croatia produzieren es, meins aus der Dose stammt aus Budaörs, Ungarn. Die Dose selber kann sich sehen lassen und wirkt recht schick und ansprechend. Im Glas ist es recht hell, die Schaumkrone fällt recht schnell in sich zusammen. Es riecht leicht fruchtig und ein wenig herb.Geschmacklich hat das Bier nicht allzuviel zu bieten, im Antrunk ist es dezent hopfig, leider auch recht wässrig. Im Mittelteil bis in den Abgang hinein wird das Bier etwas herber, aber weiterhin nicht sehr ausgeprägt. Zwar ist das Bier im Vergleich mit den meisten deutschen Bieren kein Knaller, ein besseres Urlaubsbier kann man sich trotzdem kaum vorstellen, es ist unendlich süffig und man schmeckt weit mehr als bei den meisten anderen Urlaubsbieren.

Bis auf den bitteren Abgang muss ich Jürgen recht geben, der herbe Mittelteil sticht am positivsten heraus, recht süffig. Das beste kroatische Bier bisher! Test vom 11.8.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,8,12,10,10,9 - 9,20

I’m putting this rating temporarily under this entry before it can be ascertained what exactly changed and if the 4.5% version in 2l bottles warrants a new entry. Poured a full golden body with a big thick white head that went away at a medium pace. Malty, slightly dry, grainy and honeyish aroma. The taste is mild, light maltiness mightling with vegetabley/herbal like hop that doesn’t give out much bitterness. A bit bready. Some sweaty notes. Very very light hoppy aftertaste. Ok, balanced and drinkable but quite unremarkable. 5/2-3/5/2/10-11 0.5l bottle from the Scout Club Irish Pub in Samobor. Medium sized thick white head, dissipates slowly. Well carbonated, pale yellow colour. The aroma is faint, and only malt can be detected. The flavor is lemony, but pleasant, faint bitter aftertaste. Quite drinkable, but not flashy in any way. Again I rated a beer almost exactly like ozujsko, without seeing his rating. Strange...

(Bottle 50 cl) I’m a bit uncertain about where this was brewed: bought in Hungary and the back label mentions both Carlsberg Croatia and Carlsberg Hungary, hmm... Decent pilsener golden colour with a dense, fine, white head. Weak, hoppy nose. Very light body, rather watery but with a fine, strong bitter hoppiness in the finish. Fairly decent lager. 040705
