Description

Bit strange. Sea salt, orange peel, coriander, but it ends up tasting quite unexpected.

Loads of white wine barrel. Funky. Rustic and a bit strange and I love it.

Great stuff. A solid 4 but fuck it, it breaks my heart that such a good brewery specializing in heartfelt, well-made traditional beers has such a stupid rating on here. I guess they have to put candy bars in the beer to get a good rating?

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Peat, roasted malt. Taste: Smooth, creamy, peat, roasted malt, notes of coffee, mocha, hints of vanilla and oak wood. Full body, low carbonation. Over moderate to medium sweet, moderate bitterness going to over moderate at long lasting, boozy finish. A little bit unbalanced bit that's ok for me as a Islay / peat lover.

Tap at the Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a big, lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt and woody hops. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, herbal, mineral, big woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An old skool English IPA. Big on bitterness, low on sweet fruits.
