Description

Tap @ Arendsnest, medium sample. Dark brown color, medium brown head. Aroma of some roasted malts, milk chocolat, dark red fruit, slight spicy yeast. Slight bitter in taste, bit sweet, bit thin bodied. It’s not really a RIS by alcohol, nor by ingredients, but it’s pretty tasty.

On tap at Arendsnest. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, chocolate, hard roasted malts, coffee and cream. Flavour is much the same, a bit too thin for the style but nice enough. Light-bodied.

Tap at the Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Poured a cloudy medium amber with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is rich fruity and hoppy. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with some liqourice, malt and a little alcohol on the sharp but refreshing palate. For a Dutch brewery this really is one of the better hoppy beers I’ve tasted. At least the yeast does not dominate.
