Keg at La Barberie, Québec City. Black, creamy head. Coffee and licorice up front. Dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Licorice and coffee. A touch of metal in the finish. Otherwise flawless.

Pamplemousse, mangue, mandarine, résine de pin, gazon s’avèrent les principaux éléments de l’olfactif. Belle complexité. Mousse blanche, épaisseur moyenne, légèrement rocailleuse, se maintient bien. Liquide blond et très flou, tirant sur le paille. Les résineux attaquent dès l’entrée de bouche. Ils maintiennent en sourdine les fruits tropicaux et les autres saveurs. L’alcool est intense mais en équilibre avec le gazon et les éléments résineux. La finale est bien amère et légèrement astringente. La complexité ne se répète pas en bouche. Cet élément m’a un peu déçu. Mais ça demeure une excellente DIPA.

Tap at Boswell. Super cloudy light gold with a filmy white head. Bright citra tangy hop bouquet. Light bodied, zesty, crisp and delicious balance of hops and wheat. Yum. 3.7

A deep dark stout with a thick creamy brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with notes of caramel, vanilla, light licorice, grassy hops, very nice. In mouth, a nice bitter sweet chocolate light caramel, coffee, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at brewery.

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, herbaceous character, OK. In mouth, a crisp biscuit malt with grassy hops, herbaceous character, light grainy notes, OK. On tap at brewery.
