2017 vintage. 750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is pretty tart, with lots of spruce tips, some tart stone fruits, and a touch of sap. Flavour is surprisingly complex, with lots of tart stone fruit, fermented out honey, and oak. Earthy, oaky, tart, fruity finish. Surprisingly good.

In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light raspberry jam, light acidity, light mineral notes, pleasant. Bottle from brewery, August 2020.

On tap at Waller St, pours a clear golden with a medium beige head. Nose has an interesting mix of honey, oak, and spruce tips — smells better than most gruits. Flavour is very unusual, with lots of woody spruce trips, intense earthiness — like I'm licking the forest ground — fermented out honey, and a little oak. Earthy, oaky, with the spruce tips lingering big time. Impressive.

On tap at Waller St, pours a hazy bright flowing turquoise / blue with a medium white head. Aroma is full of cotton candy and some other strange herbal notes. Flavour has lacto and cotton candy, with an off-putting herbal, tart character. It's a gimmicky beer, with nothing all that pleasant about it.

On tap at Waller St, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of juicy notes, yogurty notes from the lacto, and a touch of citrus tang. Flavour is a lacto bomb, with lots of yogurt dominating — there's a nice floral dry hop character, but this is mostly a lacto bomb. Soft palate with easy drinkability. Decent.

On tap at Waller St, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out bright juicy hops, lots of pine, and some resins. Flavour brings out lots of bitter piney hops, some resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney, assertively bitter, and somewhat juicy. Very well-made — doesn't hold a candle to the Russian River Blind Pig (if that's what they were going for), but it's solid.

On tap at Waller StC pours black with a large tan head. Aroma is quite spicy, with lots of cinnamon, gentle chili, nutmeg and a little coffee. Flavour is smooth, with light tartness, and plenty of spicy adjuncts — there's nutmeg, cinnamon, chili, and some tart fruitiness. Not like most imperial stouts — the body is creamy and hides the alcohol well, but the tartness doesn't seem like it should be there. Alright.

On tap at Walker St, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose is quite woody, with medium roasted malt, and a robust dry hopping to balance. Flavour is certainly robust, with lots of dry hopping, some wood, and robust roasted malt. There's also a bit of fusel alcohols / glue in there that could be ironed out. Other than that relatively minor imperfection, this is pleasant enough.
