Can. Yellow gold, slightly hazy with a three finger head. Aroma is more juniper than lime. Very tasty, a great summer time beer.

AROMA: Moderately sweet with moderate scents of malt and caramel, followed by a hints of pine and citrus.

APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy, medium color, with a tall, 3-finger, tight-frothed, off-white head that dissipates slowly, with very good lacing.

TASTE: Moderately bitter with flavors of pine, malt, and grapefruit, and then just a hint of caramel towards the end. The finish is all pine flavor and fairly bitter. For me, the bitterness level just doesn't match well with the sweetness level of the aroma.

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied and a little tacky on the tongue. Carbonation is average.

OVERALL: I've enjoyed most of the other beers that I've tried from this brewer, but this is not one of my favorites. Mostly because there is nothing that makes this beer memorable over all the other pale ales out there. That doesn't mean that this is a poorly crafted beer (quite the contrary). It just means that I won't remember it, nor would I be able to pick it out of a lineup of other beers in its category.

AROMA: Slightly sweet with mild scents of malt, lemon, and meadow flowers, followed by a hint of sweet citrus (maybe orange?). As the beer warms, I start to get mild aromas of cardamom.

APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy, pale hay color, with a tall 3-finger, tight-frothed, white head that dissipates slowly, with very good lacing.

TASTE: Mildly sweet with flavors of lemon, blueberry, and lychee fruit. It's kind of an odd combination of flavors, yet it somehow works! Fresh from the fridge the lemon is more pronounced than the other flavors. But as the beer warms, the lemon drops off and the other flavors take the stage. The finish is lightly sweet.

MOUTHFEEL: On the thin side of medium-bodied. Texture is slightly smooth but still has just a hint of tackiness on the tongue. When looking at in a clear glass I would say that the carbonation level was high. However, when actually drinking it. it feels very soft on the tongue and I would say that the carbonation level barely reaches average.

OVERALL: I've enjoyed most of the other beers that I've tried from this brewer, and this one is no exception. While it's certainly not going to win any awards, I do find it to be quite enjoyable to drink. I think the biggest draw for me is that the flavor is slightly unique, yet doesn't go overboard with the "uniqueness" factor. Meaning, it provides a respite from the vast sea of "me too" beers, without offending the palate. I will happily buy this again. Especially during the summer, on a hot day, when the citrus and berry flavors would be the most refreshing.

Bottle at home. Aroma of dark malt, light roast, coffee, chocolate, charcoal. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Easily drinkable and tasty Porter.

Bottle at home. Aroma is wheat, coriander, spicy yeast, citrus, lemon. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Simple but okay Wit, decent beer.

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is dark malt with caramel, roast, dark bread, and notes of raisins. Flavour is sweet with a surprisingly firm bitterness. Body is medium. Certainly drinkable, but this doesn’t have the depth of a great Doppelbock.

Can from Stanislaus Brewskovitch, Zwolle. Aroma is fruity with bilberries, wheaty malt, floral and soapy notes, soda. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium. I dig me some blueberries (bilberry in this case), but I’m not too fond of the sweetness in this fruity wheat beer.

Can from Hopt. Aroma is light toasted crystal malt with some caramel, candied fruits, some orange. Sweetish flavour with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. A bit dull and on the sweet side.
