Bottle, bought at this years Leipziger Bierbörse. Looks good. Beer in the glass deep red, small head. Very spicy aroma. Starts very spicy too, with a touch of honey. The sage is very intense, the elder not really. Seeing the red colored beer made me exspect a fruity side, but that is missing. Finish a bit moldy, still very complex spicy. Very interesting beer!

Grauenhaft!

Very interesting ingredients in this beer, so I was very escited to try it. Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass light, zippy, small head. Medical-spicy aroma. Starts very spicy and reminds me of cough syrup, turns then fast into sweet, nice honey notes. From all those spices only sage is recognized clearly. Sweet finish, very well balanced and wonderful drinkable. The wonderful spicy aroma is impressing with every sip. Well done unusual beer!

Bottled 330ml. -trade with kappldav123 (thanks David!)
Darker amber coloured, small white head that went away fast, dusty smokey and caramel nose. Slight roasted malt, caramel and some smoke with flowery and mild spicy notes. A bit thin but never mind, it’s average German smoked beer.

Bottle that ogivlado got in a trade, with kappldav I guess and shared with me (thanks and thanks!). Poured a cola-like brown/black/red body with an off white head. Light smokey nose, some light soy sauce, roast, rosehip and caramel. Dryish. Light background smoke in the taste, rosehip vs. caramel mix, interesting. Nice maltiness, freshm not too hoppy. Some bacon. A very good light smoked.

Wasnt easy to get this beer. Some calls and 2 visits in Zwönitz, but finally I got it. The bottle looks good, nice special label. Beer in the glass zippy, darker than exspected. Starts strong and spicy, a bit sharp-sourish with modest alcoholic notes. Also fruity like apricot. Hoppy-dry in the background. Finish well balanced, spicy, still a bit sourish, but not too much. I liked it!
