Aromas are dark malt, molasses and roast. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter and increases all qualities. Slight hints of bourbon and oak. Add in a touch of coffee. This brewery just isn't as good as it used to be.

Are almost our malt, yeast, caramel, and dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose and slightly sweet. I don't pick up any Belgian qualities at all. Drinkable but nothing special.

0.355l can. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, reisins, plums and a bit of oak. The taste shows some notes of the bourbon too not just the oak. Chocolate and raisins are present too with a hint of orange zest and some plums. I think the barrel aging works in this beer as it only gives a nice twist to it, but doesn't overpower it. Good one.

Can, 2024 vintage. Caramel aroma with notes of coconut, vanilla, banana, bourbon and oak. Pours deep caramel brown colored with a thin mocha brown head that has some retention and a little bit of lacing. Starts with caramel, banana and oak flavors as well as having a medium body and sticky sweet mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with coconut, vanilla and bourbon flavors. Not as complex as some barrel aged beers but flavorful and smooth.

Piney and citrus hints in the nose along with bready malt. The taste is a bit underwhelming for the 8.7 ABV and the array of high impact hops used in the brewing process. If anything, the hops play second fiddle to the malt base and the taste thins out fairly quickly

12oz can, there's a date code, but it's wildly illegible. I'm guessing this is 2025, though. Drunk 9/15/25.
Clear, dark. Small, light-tan head.
Smells like an older-style RIS. Big, toasty, oaky, tannic, barrel-heavy nose with huge dark chocolate and moderate roast. Smells good, if you're still in to this "style". It's certainly clean and shows no booze or excess sugar.
Soft, sweet, malty, with plentiful barrel, though it's very oaky, acidic, tannic....The stout itself is malty, though very dry. Lots of caramel and a fair bit of old school roast. Soft, lightly chewy, no syrup, no excess sugar, no alcohol. A bit of weird powdered sugar-like character on the very end.

It is my kind of beer, powerful taste of hop and malt, fruits and the taste of hop stays a long time in the mouth, 27.03.16, tasting it at Lausanne, Prélaz.

Can. Just misted yellowish orange with a rocky cm of white head. Peach, cracker, Meyer lemon and some tropical fruit aroma. Fruity with modest bitterness but a dryish ending. Good quaffer.

Can. Dark brown with a good cm of beige head. Malty, faintly powdery aroma with a little mocha. Only a little watery. Some roast and dark fruits upon a swig as well as mocha. Mostly roasted bitter end. Predictably a bit fizzy for this sort of thing. Nice job given the constraints.
