A lightly hazed golden ipa with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, caramel malt with dank resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with resinous floral hops, piney notes, light cereals, pleasant. On tap at Almacén.

It's quite dark, fairly thick. The nose has a lot of hazelnut. On the palate, quite a bit of bitter chocolate, and more hazelnut. The nut comes across a bit artificial and clashy against the malt. The richness of the malt is good, but the adjunct doesn't really hit. The base beer definitely gets undermined here a bit.

355mL can, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose is dominated by hazelnut syrup, with relatively deep roast in back—seems like plenty of sugars in there. Flavour has a nice, deep malt base, with a perhaps less tasteful hazelnut syrup character that brings this down a notch. Low-to-moderate sugars in here. Good malts, not so good adjuncts. Overall, pleasant enough.

355mL can. Pours black with a small beige head. Loads of hazelnuts on the nose. Flavour has lots of hazelnuts, but also has a good, roasty base. Solid malts in the base stout, but the hazelnuts are coming across pretty artificial here.

Dark brown. No head. On the nose, some cocoa and a bit of dark toffee. The palate is richly burnt toffee, with some umami. Not the fullest body, but it does have a complex malt character. Moderate bitterness, but enough. They're doing something right, with that malt complexity.

355mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has toasted malt, dry cocoa, a touch of coffee, and earthiness. Flavour is fairly roasty, with deep roasted malt, some woodiness, dry cocoa, and even some hops to this. Deep roast, nice woodiness, balanced with potent hops. This is excellent.

Poured from 355mL bottle. Very dark brown with small tan head. Decent Mexican imperial stout, dark sugars, feint cocoa, roast, okay.

355mL bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. Bitter roasted malts and bread crusts on the nose. Flavour has bitter roasted malts, super woody, burnt bread crusts, burn caramel. This has an excellent malt profile, rich with lots of burnt sugars.
