Bottle from Asda. Pours light gold, brief fizzy white head, plenty of bubbles. Aroma of sulphur and old apples, not fresh at all. Taste is a mildly tangy apples, sweet sugars with a very bland moderately dry finish. Light body, a slight oiliness on the palate, moderate carbonation. Overall not great

Keg at the Red Lion, Litton, 14/09/20. Clear golden with carbonation well evident and a decent retention of a white cap of bubbles for a cider. Nose is mellow apple, straw, light orchard notes. Taste comprises crisp apple, grass, grains, apple skins. Medium to spritzy carbonation with a light drying close. Run of the mill fayre but no disaster when sipping on a hot day.

500ml bottle shared with Soph at Hunkington Farm with Fly. Pours clear gold. Aroma of artificial commercial cider flavouring. Continues to taste, some apple skin, moderately sweet. Thought i'd kissed goodbye to this kind of cider long ago. Feel ashamed for buying it.

Bottle. Pours gold with brief fizzy head. Aroma of mildly tart apples and alcohol. Taste is stewed apples, a little sourness, quite sweet but then there is a mild dryness in the finish. There are medium-dry and medium-sweet elements to this which is interesting as most ciders tend to try and be one or the other. Apart from that it is a simple enough cider. Oily body and a good soft to moderate carbonation. Overall an OK cider.

My god the drinks I'm buying for a rating; I need to take a break... Very pale yellow, slight fizz at beginning but no head. Aroma of chemicals, with a hint of old pear juice. A very sour and acidic artificial pear taste with a dry finish. Its so acidic it sent shivers down my spine even by my 30th sip. Maybe the sweetness wasn't there to balance it? No chance, the body has a syrupy tooth rotting texture which is actually the least worse part. Aston Manor's apple cider is decent, whereas this is a big pile of crap and should be discontinued.
