Description

Bottle at WWT tasting. Clear golden with very big white head. Yeasty, herbal, grassy, lots of sugar, some yoghurt. Medium sweet with lots of light bitter herbs in the finish. Medium bodied with full soft carbonation. I feel more sporty already...

Bottle @ benzai. "Donker bier" means clear amber I guess, with a medium sized off-white head. Smells banana, banana, slightly smoked. Disturbing. Tastes brown sugar, cinnamon, banana. Not an abbey double. Medium (sugary) body, low carbo.

Tripel since 2011 after a home brewery’s recipe and referring to the cycling rage which is still very much alive in these parts of the world. Thick, sticky, cream white head, warm orange blond colour, hazy. Sweet and spicy aroma of lavender, mint, coriander, orange peel, melon, sourish wheat, bread. Soft if not velvety palate (oats alert!à, lightly sourish with lively spiciness and mellow maltiness, pretty strong, long and dry hop bitterness in the finish. Fine tripel indeed.
