Tap at the brewpub. Murky golden body, off-white head. Stale diacetyl mixing with bananas and vanilla in the aroma, ugh... Creamy taste, mildly citric, some banana, some wheaty malty notes, smooth, mild vanilla, ending dryish, no hops but it's no biggie. Shame about the aroma (taps?), okay otherwise.

(PET bottle 1l from U Martina (Brno)) Overall: Nice sweet malty beer. Aroma: Sweet, malt, caramel, toasty, light fruits. Appearance: Clear dark ruby color. Medium off-white head. Taste: Medium sweet, malt, caramel, toasty, light dark fruits, light diacetyl. Palate: Medium body. Light sticky texture.

Zlatý Kříž 13° apparently hahahah. Tap at the Czech Slovak Restaurant at the hotel U Kříže. Blackish body, lasting thick beige head. Coffee and dark caramel notes in the lean light aroma. Lean, dry taste, vague roast, coffee, Irish-stoutish really. Smooth, creamy, empty, bitterish finish. Solid really!

Draught at the brewpub. Lightly cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- malty, vanilla, noble hops. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, lightly bitter, malty, vanilla, bready, noble hops. Medium bodied. Very tasty.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy, pale gold colored. AROMA- clove, coriander, vanilla, banana. FLAVOR- slightly sweet, slightly bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Nice weissbier.

Wenn mich auf dieser Bierreise die klassischen tschechischen Bierstile nicht so begeistern, so sind meine verkosteten Weizenbiere wirklich gut. Dieses hat einen schönen getreidig-brotigen Körper und einen feinen grasigen und (etwas zuwenig) fruchtigen Abgang.

Das APA gab es als Saisonbier auf der Karte. Dieses hatte schöne Karamell-Aromen und eine tolle bersteinartige Farbe, verknüpft mit einem spritzigen Einstieg. Allerdings geht ihm im Abgang die Kraft aus.

Das 12-grädige schließt sich dem 10-grädigen an. Es hat gute Ansätze und einen vollmundigen Körper, aber dann geht ihm für ein Aromenfeuer die Kraft aus. Für ein klassisches Lager reicht das vollauf, da man es wunderbar trinken kann, aber für eine coole Craftbrauerei wirkt es etwas zu normal.
